Sandra is the founder of Muskoka's best known career coaching business. She brings significant people development expertise having worked at Procter & Gamble (P&G) in Toronto for almost 15 years. At P&G, Sandra held diverse positions in Human Resources in recruitment, training, employee and organization development. Known for coaching people from all walks of life, of all ages and talents, Sandra gained this respect by working at P&G's corporate office and manufacturing facility.
Sandra also held a position in Community Relations at P&G. Heading up the company's national fundraising campaign for the United Way, Sandra helped raise $1.2M. This brought recognition by being nominated for The United Way Workplace Fundraising Campaign Coordinator of the Year Award. Her expertise in human resources was further enhanced by her role as Senior Organizational and Employee Development Manager at ToromontCAT.
Born and raised in Bracebridge, Sandra relocated to her hometown and launched Career Discovery in 2003. She specializes in providing one-to-one career coaching to people considering a job or career change. Other services include resume writing, job search help and interviewing skills. She also coaches people taking the plunge to launch their own small business. Sandra helps them develop their business start up and marketing plans.
Always supporting her community, Sandra is most proud of her volunteer work at Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School. In 2007, Sandra launched an innovative one-to-one career coaching program for youth. She plans to expand this offering to other schools in Muskoka. Sandra has also volunteered her time with the inmates at Correctional Services Canada. Being a frequent trainer at the Women in Business Program, Sandra also custom designs and facilitates training workshops for various organizations in Muskoka, Orillia and Barrie.
In 2002, Sandra successfully completed The Coaching Clinic Program through Corporate Coach U International. This credential is complemented by her 20 years of hands-on experience in the area of people and human relations.
Sandra is consistently known for providing that 'gentle nudge' that people need to release their potential and find their dream job.
